BJP Will Draw A Zero in MP Elections: Kamal Nath

Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath on Thursday took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stating that the BJP in the state was heading towards zero in electoral mathematics.

Nath wrote on X (formerly twitter), “In Madhya Pradesh BJP, One fourth BJP is on the fringes, one fourth are poor and destitute, one fourth are morally losers and one fourth are victimised by Delhi (central leadership).”

“Overall, the BJP in Madhya Pradesh is heading towards zero in electoral mathematics and politically,” the former CM further wrote.

Hitting back at Nath’s post, BJP Spokesperson Rajneesh Agarwal said that the congress leadership and the Congress party had become a joke.

“Nath’s tweet tells us what is the state of mind of the Congress and Nath himself. The Congress is going through the worst phase  across the country and the situation is such that they (Congress) are not able to accept this truth,” Agarwal said.

“Posting childish and absurd rhymes by the most senior Congress leader, shows that not only the Congress leadership but the entire Congress party has become a joke,” the BJP leader added.

Madhya Pradesh is scheduled to go for the Assembly polls later this year. Through the polls, the state will elect legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies.

The last Assembly polls in 2018 saw the Congress coming to power, with veteran leader Kamal Nath taking oath as the chief minister.

Nonetheless, a political upheaval rocked the state in 2020, after the then Congressman Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with 22 loyalist MLAs, switched over to the saffron camp.

The Congress government fell after being reduced to a minority and the BJP formed the government, with Shivraj Singh Chouhan returning as chief minister. (ANI)

MP Cong Accuses Shivraj Govt Of Scams, CM Hits Back

Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath launched a scathing attack on the BJP government in the state, displaying an ‘allegation letter’ which, he claimed, uncovers various scams that took place on the watch of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led dispensation.

The Congress’ state chief unveiled the ‘allegation letter’ at a meeting of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) in Bhopal on Friday.

Addressing a press conference at the state Congress headquarters, the former CM said, “The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in Madhya Pradesh has to be the world’s most scam-tainted government. CM Chouhan has created a record of corruption by committing various scams during his 18-year rule. The list of misdeeds on the watch of this government is a long one. It includes some scams as well. The Congress party has come out with a scam sheet during the 18-year tenure of the Shivraj government. This scam sheet will give people a true picture of this 50-per cent commission government.”

The alleged scams mentioned in the Congress sheet include “Rs 15,000 crore Poshan scam, Rs 12,000 crore mid-day meal scam, Rs 9,500 crore Anganwadi tap water scam, Rs 600 crore uniform scam, Rs 2,000 crore Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scam, Vyapam scam of Rs 2,000 crores, Nursing scam of Rs 2,000 crores, Kaushal scam of Rs 3,000 crores, Paramedical scholarship scam of Rs 2,500 crores, electricity scam of Rs 94,000 crores, Jal Jeevan Mission scam of Rs 10,000 crores and a check post scam worth Rs 50,000 crores”.

“Be it a child or an elderly, everyone in the state has been cheated by this government. They (BJP government) didn’t even spare Baba Mahakal or the holy cows. Today, every person in the state is either a victim of corruption or a witness to it. They have put the biggest corruption stain on Madhya Pradesh,” Nath said.

“The Shivraj government wasn’t formed on the basis of the people’s mandate but money. This government was formed through the subversion of democracy. Their mantra is to loot the government treasury and commit scams. That day is not far when one will search ‘scam’ on Google and the picture of CM Shivraj will appear on the screen,” the former CM claimed.

He added, “The Shivraj government has started considering commission, corruption and scams as its right. This is why a contractor, upset with the 50-per cent commission rule, wrote a letter and newspapers published it widely. Some of our senior leaders shared the letter on their social media handles and cases were filed against them at the behest of this government. Even on Thursday, another contractor in Rewa said there is a 50-per cent commission rule in the construction of a Gaushala. This shows that the Shivraj government did wrong but blamed others for it.”

“Copies of the scam sheet will be distributed to every house in Madhya Pradesh so that the people know how they were looted,” Nath added.

Responding to the former CM’s allegations, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “We are going into this election with determination and the belief that we will prevail. The Congress is broken and frustrated and have, hence, resorted to making unfounded allegations against us. However, the love and affection that we are receiving from the people remain undiminished and gives us the belief that we will win.” (ANI)

All Cheetahs Will Die Due To Mismanagement Of BJP Govt: Kamal Nath

Madhya Pradesh former Chief Minister and State Congress chief Kamal Nath on Wednesday slammed the BJP-led government and alleged that all cheetahs will die due to mismanagement of the state government.

Speaking about the recent death of a cheetah in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park (KNP), Kamal Nath said that no one including women, cheetahs or adivasis were safe under the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government in the state.
“All cheetahs will die due to mismanagement of the BJP government. Be it women, be it cheetahs or be it adivasis, no one is safe in Madhya Pradesh,” said Kamal Nath.

Earlier today, Madhya Pradesh Forest Minister Vijay Shah said that the recent death of a Cheetah in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park was a result of a natural occurrence in animals.

“I have spoken to the authorities as well and this is a natural occurrence in animals. A team of experts, including foreign experts, is monitoring each Cheetah,” said MP Forest Minister Vijay Shah.

Another Cheetah named Tejas brought to Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park died on Monday due to injuries.

According to an official statement, injury marks were seen on the upper part of the neck of male cheetah Tejas (Boma number 6) by the monitoring team on Monday at around 11 am. This was informed by the monitoring team to the wildlife doctors present at the Palpur headquarters.

“Wildlife doctors went to the spot and inspected Tejas Cheetah and prima facie found the wounds serious. After obtaining permission to treat Tejas, the team of doctors left for Maukar with preparations,” it said.

The male cheetah Tejas was found dead at the spot around 2 pm. The injuries sustained by Cheetah Tejas are being probed. The cause of death can be ascertained after the post-mortem, it added.

Earlier on June 26, a translocated African cheetah was injured in a fight with other cheetahs at the Kuno National Park (KNP).

Agni, the male cheetah, sustained injuries following a skirmish between two groups of cheetahs at Kuno National Park’s open forest area.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the eight cheetahs (5 females and 3 males) brought from Namibia at Kuno National Park on the occasion of his birthday on September 17, last year, as part of an effort to revive the extinct cheetahs in India. Another 12 cheetahs were brought from South Africa in February this year.

The cheetah was declared extinct from India in 1952.Under the ambitious Project Cheetah of the Indian government, the reintroduction of wild species particularly cheetahs was undertaken according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) guidelines.

India has a long history of wildlife conservation. One of the most successful wildlife conservation ventures ‘Project Tiger’, which was initiated way back in 1972, has not only contributed to the conservation of tigers but also to the entire ecosystem. (ANI)

Kamal Nath about BJP Netas

I’ve Seen Obscene CDs With BJP Netas In Them: Kamal Nath

Former Chief Minister and PCC chief Kamal Nath on Thursday weighed in on the ongoing ‘obscene CDs’ controversy, saying he has also seen the CDs and they feature BJP leaders.

Nath made the remark while speaking to the media persons in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district on Thursday.

Nath said, “I have seen the CDs. I was the chief minister at the time. I do not do this type of politics. At that time I didn’t see the need for any further investigation. I did not want the name of Madhya Pradesh to be defamed, which is why the matter was not brought to the fore. There are only BJP people on the CDs. There should be an investigation into these CDs. The truth should come out.”

Earlier, on Tuesday, veteran Congress Leader and Leader of Opposition Govind Singh said, “We have various obscene CDs of BJP ministers, MLAs, leaders and RSS volunteers. But raising allegations like this is not in our culture.”

Singh on Wednesday also invited BJP state president VD Sharma at his residence to see the ‘obscene’ CDs of BJP leaders, ministers, and MLAs. Singh said, “When Sharma comes to my residence, I will welcome him with a garland and then show him the CDs. I will not show the CDs publicly. I have many of them.”

Reacting to Singh’s sensational claim on the ‘obscene’ CDs, the BJP state president said, “Such comments do not behoove political leaders. It isn’t good to question one’s character through allegations not supported by evidence. He is an experienced leader holding a responsible party post. Such reckless remarks don’t suit him.”

“The BJP never resorts to such politics. I wish to reiterate that if he is a responsible leader, he should go public with whatever he has,” Sharma added.

Nath also targeted Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, saying, “It seems he can’t digest his food unless he does two things — criticize Kamal Nath and lie.”

On the absence of Veteran Congress leader of Vindhya region, Ajay Singh Rahul, at the press conference, Nath said, “I have spoken to Ajay Singh and will keep talking to him. There is no division or dispute in the party.” (ANI)

Bharat Jodo Yatra: Rahul Breaks Into Tribal Dance With Gehlot, Kamalnath

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi matched steps and broke into an impromptu jig with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, and senior party leader Sachin Pilot after his ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ rolled into Rajasthan on Sunday evening.

Rahul and his fellow party colleagues joined in as local artists were presenting a tribal dance performance in Jhalawar.

A video of the impromptu dance performance surfaced on social media, showing Rahul, Gehlot, and Pilot holding hands and dancing with folk artists on the stage.

Later, speaking at the Jhalawar event, Rahul took a customary dig at the BJP and RSS, saying the Congress is a party of Mahatma Gandhi and not of (VR) Savarkar or (Nathuram) Godse.

“This is Mahatma Gandhi’s party, not Savarkar’s or Godse’s. We know how to work hard,” Rahul said.

Earlier on Sunday, before the Congress’ ongoing countrywide foot march reached Rajasthan, a poster war broke out between the loyalists of Gehlot and Pilot. This was after the CM’s followers tried to replace Pilot’s posters in the Jhalawar district.

The incident came took place on Saturday, just days after the party’s national general secretary KC Venugopal held a meeting with the two leaders, who haven’t been seeing eye-to-eye in the recent past.

In a press briefing that followed after, Gehlot and Pilot were seen holding hands as the party tried to project a show of unity amid the ongoing political tussle. Venugopal had claimed that the party was united in Rajasthan.

The press briefing came on the heels of Gehlot calling Pilot a ‘traitor’ who can never become the Rajasthan CM in an interview with a television channel.

The former Rajasthan deputy CM later hit back at Gehlot, calling his accusations ‘baseless’.

On December 3, Pilot released a video asking people to join the yatra when it enters the state. (ANI)

Watch – ‘What Happened In Nov ’84 Was Genocide, Not Riots’

In an EXCLUSIVE interview to LokMarg, senior advocate and human rights activist Harvinder Singh Phoolka speaks about his relentless 35-year legal battle to gets justice for victims of Sikh massacre in November 1984, and the need for a Truth and Reconciliation Commission for the Sikh community.

Terming the violence as genocide, Phoolka measures his success as moderate since “only one big fish” (Sajjan Kumar) could be sent to jail while accused like Jagdish Tytler, Kamal Nath not only remained free but also held important posts in several Congress governments.

Phoolka recounts that mobs ran amok, in full collusion with police and administration, whereas Sikhs were even denied the right to defend themselves. He says he will continue to seek justice in the matter within the framework of Indian Constitution and legal machinery.
